SAP Hybris and Gigya Consumer Insights and GDPR Readiness Tour to Address the Compliance-Trust Gap

SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced the kickoff of the SAP® Hybris® and Gigya Consumer Insights and GDPR Readiness Tour 2018. The global roadshow is offered to customers and prospects across 19 cities in 12 countries to help them discover strategies for turning a compliance need into a strategic business advantage and creating more-trusted customer relationships. Stops include London, Chicago, Philadelphia, Hamburg, Helsinki, Vienna, Milan and Paris.

An SAP Hybris–commissioned survey of 20,000 shoppers worldwide found that the easiest way to keep customers happy is to be responsive, and the fastest way to lose them is to share their data without their knowledge. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective May 25, addresses the data protection rights of EU residents and visitors by giving them extensive new rights.

GDPR applies to organizations anywhere in the world that collect personal information from within the EU. Businesses may be facing a dilemma posed by the opportunity to embrace new technologies that deliver marketing, service, sales, revenue and commerce experiences to boost revenue on the one hand, and on the other, to protect the business from regulatory scrutiny by applying data privacy best practices.

The roadshow addresses this gap. The agenda will cover:

  • Specific local customer experience and data privacy trends as revealed in the 2017 SAP Hybris Global Consumer Insights Report

Speakers from organizations scheduled to participate include Franklin Covey, GSK, Bayer, MBC, Touring Club Italiano, Sanoma and Softonic.
